So everyone’s all abuzz about what’s going on with Arnold. Here’s my 2.7 cents.

1) I think that Governor Schwarzenegger has to be responsible for his actions, because he’s a grown man.

But responsible to whom, and for what? The only way that this is actually the public’s business is if he,

like Mark Sanford, may have used State funds to take care of his mistress, or his love child; also, if he spent State time, time that he was on the clock, on the taxpayer’s dime, traveling under false pretenses. But that’s it. As a public servant, he’s both responsible and accountable to the public for what he’s done as Governor. This is personal, which means it’s behind him, God, his mistress(es), Maria, and his various children. Not that I’d be in a hurry to face the Lord or an angry wife or children whose respect I’d lost. Yeeegerz. He’s a cheater, a liar, a philanderer, and who knows what else. He needs to be responsible, but the punishment also needs to fit the crime.

2) His mistress in question, the one we know about at the moment, is a grown ass woman.

This is not some 22 year old intern, who, while a legal adult is still quite young…this is a woman who has been around the block a few times. She lied to her husband, and hid her affair from both him and Maria, and took Arnold’s money,

and ate Maria’s food, and pretended like that child wasn’t his. Know what she’s gonna get? Appearances on all the “Let’s Beat Up on Men” shows, a book deal, possibly even a reality show. For a woman that cuckolded her husband, committed adultery, and lied about it all.

3) We don’t know what kind of wife Maria was.

Now when I say that, do I mean to say that Arnold has an excuse for his behavior? Absolutely not. But my point here is that the public has no idea what kind of wife she was to him. No idea if she held up her end of the marriage vows. That again is no excuse, but Maria is still responsible for how she treated him as a wife. I don’t care who likes that, it’s the truth. This, however, is a case of Maria being Bullocked. Meaning, Sandra Bullock. Maria, like Sandra, saw what the package was, and it was exactly as advertised. She bought it, took it home, unwrapped it, and found it be exactly as advertised. Just like Jesse James. Maria is by no means responsible for Arnold’s behavior, but Maria did indeed pick a groper, womanizer, and manwhore for a husband.

Arnold has been a good ol’ boy from way back, and that was no secret to anyone. I remember last year when

Valerie Bertinelli was making her ‘Confession Tour’ rounds, and spoke about how people for YEARS had talked about what a bad influence Eddie Van Halen was on her, and how

he cheated on her. Then Valerie said, “I cheated too. I cheated first. I also did drugs.”

4) The kids are the real victims.

But not in the way you might think. Having a sibling show up that you didn’t know about can indeed be shocking as hell, but kids have a LOT of bounceback. Of course they are stunned at what’s happening with their parents, but they can indeed recover, and accept outside siblings as well. What I’m talking about is what the media is going to do, and has already started to do to these young people. When you give some people a microphone or a camera, they think that they have the right to play God with other people’s lives. The media is going to hound these kids now, for the rest of their lives, scratching for dirt on Arnold & Maria under the guise of “reporting on their feelings.” The 14 year old child of the mistress has ALREADY DROPPED OUT OF SCHOOL. And now, just like Chelsea Clinton, the

"Back up off me, bitches."

media is going to hound these kids and try their best to make them talk about something that is intense, and private. In addition to that, God help these children when they get married. They are forever going to have to be reminded about something that I’m sure they would like to get over and put behind them.

I feel sorry for everybody in this mix…for those who didn’t use self-control, those who lied, those that got lied to, those that had nothing to do with anything, and those that are going to have to pay a lifelong price. Because ultimately, I’m sure that for all except the mistress who is going to get RICH from this, it just wasn’t worth it.
